Pedagogical Path

The Studying Genocides guide offers three pedagogical paths for exploring genocides, either through a single case study or a comparative approach: Case Study, Racism, Prevention and Justice, and Pedagogical Path through Literature. These courses offer an investigative approach that can be carried out by students individually or in teams.

Each pathway includes a student workbook to help students organize their learning, a teacher’s guide and an answer key.

These pathways are designed specifically for the History, Contemporary World, Quebec Culture and Citizenship, as well as for language programs. They can be used in any of these courses, but are best carried out in an interdisciplinary context.

Finally, to support teachers in their preparation, best practices are explained.
